comfy in your big chair
in front of the TV screen
what happened, you ask,
did i miss the end of the show?
reality does take leaps now and then
like a skipping stone -
or the wrist watch with a second hand
that ticks only on even numbers
leaping over the odds -
a town you miss
driving down the road
you ask,
did i blink?
